Just me expressing myself!

This drawing was inspired by an Asian model in the bustling city dressed chique on her way to get some coffee at Starbucks.
This drawing was inspired by Ravenskar's Viet-My Bui. (Haruna)
This was inspired by a phase in life that i was going through a long time ago.

This scenery was done just the past weekend with acrylic paint and is one of my favourites.

This is a still life inspired by the effects of oil painting that poster colour could give.
This was inspired by the classic fairytale of Pinocchio when he is amazed by puppets and thinks that they are his siblings.
A serene seaside.
Again a poster painting inspired by the effect of water colour
The first painting. When i was 11.
To learn about geometrical objects and shadows.

A Packed Weekend

On the 15th of Friday night, i bought tickets to watch ICOM's Tribute to Disney.Ooo that was certainly a exciting night.I hitched a ride with my friend and got there in time.We occupied ourselves by having a tinsie debate about what kind of guys are hotter. The ones who have a good vocal cord or the ones with guitar skills?
Anyways, the show was spectacular.Being the Classical Disney Movie fan that i am,i enjoyed whispering the answer to every question that the host were asking while the Disney quiz was going on to my friend beside me. I knew most of the songs except Marry Poppins and another that i cant seem to recall the title.I was singing along to songs such as Bear Necessities from The Jungle Book, Everybody Wants to be a Cat from Aristocats and Hakuna Matata from The Lion King.

After the show, all of us headed to Kayu mamak stall in Ampang Jaya.*Since i was a vegetarian* during that time,i could only afford to eat plain maggie goreng. The food didn't seem much of a big deal because i was busy mingling. My friends were sweet enough to send me and drop me off right at my doorstep. Thanks guys :)
That wasn't all.. The next morning we left off to Malacca for my aunt's prayers. I know its a sad occasion but i was happy i was gonna be able to visit cousins. Its always a good news when your going to meet cousins! They are friends that have grown with you since toddlers and will always accept you for who you are and will not be worried about your social status. It was a long journey to my cousins place due to the jam. Me and the little brother(not so little anymore) but he will always be my cutie pie :D *thank god he doesn't read my blog! * On the way,i occupied myself by cam whoring and listening to pop music.

These are some of the photos take just to entertain myself =.=

I guess you're so close,
In my thoughts that its,
Hard to remember you're,
So far away today,
But you are,
And i miss you..

Poetry :)

A warm caress,
A burning kiss,
My fondest dreams,
Are made of this,
But were apart,
So dream I must,
A victim of ,
Long distance lust,
I miss you..

Prom!

First prom that i went to and it was definitely a memorable one.Well,High School Prom! What do ya expect? Most of us started talking about if many months before it came, buying all the finest dresses, tuxedo's and not to forget, matching jewelleries ladies! This was also an even where some of us took the opportunity to show our peers of how good they can look since were always seen wearing school uniforms.I am very proud to say that SMK.Taman Melawati organised a classy and spectacular event that evening.I'm sure all of us had loads of fun being with friend knowing that that would be one of the last times you were going to spend with them.
Cam whoring with the prom dress :)
At the end of the day, i had a blast of a time!

Old bestie,but still my bestie!

She was the first girl i spoke to on the day of orientation (first day of high school). We were both very uncomfortable with the new environment. There she was standing with her brand new school uniform, hair tied up neat as ever, white socks up to her knees and dabs of powder on her face. Then again,i looked no different. *excluding the dabs of powder*

I *crossed my fingers* as i walked up to her hoping that she would be able to utter a few words of proper English as i was horrible at my mother tongue.Thank god! She spoke the same English that i spoke too! Manglish that is. Since then we have been in the same class for 5years.School is over and i would still consider her to be my friend. She is one of a kind. She is into  Slash,Avenged Sevenfoldand & Guns and Roses while I'm into Classical Disney Songs,Bob Acri and Michael Buble. i guess opposites attract but then again were into the same TV shows such as How I Met Your Mother,Rules of Engagement,Cougar Town and Entourage. We make an effort to come to school just to chat and laugh til we have tears in our eyes. She also has a very good taste in food! We use to go out for lunch to all these new places around my school. The times we spent in school we just pure awesomeness.
June to July was the worst month of my life. There was a lot that i was going through being physically and emotionally hurt. Being the best friend she is to me,she understood and felt sorry for me.she was the outlet for all the problems that i was going through. Her mum and her were sweet enough to bake and design this cake for me.It's a beautiful cake and i will never forget this in my life.(it was a surprise btw)
                                   Beautiful aint it?

So this is a small tribute to my best buddy who has always been there for me through the laughter's during class, awkward moments when I'm with my boyfriend and sad times. Although we fight,I'm sorry to say i just love it.i love every moment with you because you make it AWESOME for me!
                                      i love you :)

Why IQ test?

The objective of an IQ test has much differed compared to when it was first introduced in the 1900's by Alfred Binet. He was a French psychologist that created this test to segregate students of different intelligence as requested by the French government with the  desire of helping students who didn't meet the intelligence mark that was set in the IQ test. The students that didn't pass the test were given extra educational assistance so that they would be in par with the students that had passed the IQ test. This was a good method to give birth to a more intellectual generation.

However,IQ tests are being used differently these days. The IQ test is more of a method to qualify an individual for a job or seats in the best universities. You not only have to have a passing mark but also an impressive one.So with the objective of the IQ tests that has changed, how will a brighter generation be born?

Art to me is "le monde"

I was brought to this world on the 13th of July in the year of 1993 unaware of what life had in store for me.As a young girl i doodled on every empty spot on whatever paper i could get my hands on. I have even gone to the extend of doodling on the walls of my late grandmother's home with the colourfull pencils and crayons that i had.
As "cuisson" may be my cup of tea, drawing and painting are as they have always been the passion of my life. As an elementary student, i cherished every moment of art class i had on weekends, even if i found the demands of my art teacher too stifling. The artist i was being guided i was being guided by always gave me free reign to my artistic talents rather than dictating both the subject and medium of art project. He inspire me to go beyond the limits that were normally thought in school. This allowed me to widen my artistic horizons and to navigate my direction towards abstract expressionism.Soon, art historians such as Edvard Munch from the 19th century and Pollock Jackson from the 20th century were artists that i looked up to.

Fortunately, my love for art compelled me to pursue my talent outside the classroom,i.e. in the privacy of my room that i fondly called my 'studio'.Art has been and continues to be the main outlet for my feelings next to music. With many people unable to voice out their opinions,i most certainly find that art helps an individual to express ones feelings in a much more sophisticated / creative manner where things are not laid out raw. I find art a very healthy way of pouring out my feelings being the rebellious teenager that i can be.When I'm depressed, melancholy expressions overwhelm my paintings. Frustration or rage is highlighted by shades of red or bright orange. A distorted face done in the cubist style of Picasso shows up in drawings made in times of astronomic bliss.

As i bloomed, i was attracted to structures of buildings all around me.Architecture has interested me for many years.I have always enjoyed the great detail and through drawings that are involved. Architects use difficult mathematical functions just as much as they use art and design.

Finally, art is something that is common to many of us and it would be very difficult to stamp it out of our society and culture in the modern era today.
